Judy Kim Jewelry *
About 20 years ago, Judy started making jewelry as more of a hobby; she wanted something fun to do so her life didn’t always revolve around her classroom in Chicago. So she started making jewelry for herself, gifted them to friends, and ultimately sold her beautiful pieces in a boutique back in Chicago. Her highlight was getting an order from one of the producers of the Oprah Winfrey Show who happened to see her jewelry at the boutique.
Judy enjoys working with unique pieces and loves anything “shiny” that “dangles”. Semi-precious stones are her passion; she sources them directly from gem and jewelry shows.
Now in Mexico City, she gives classes and teaches others how to make their own special pieces from the comfort of her home in Coyoacan. Her classes are kept small so she can give everyone the attention they need (she had a terrible experience during a class where the instructor could not help her so her beads fell on the floor and scattered everywhere).
Classes are offered monthly and with a maximum of 5 people. If the date listed on the calendar does not work for you, please reach out to her and a private class can be arranged. This is a great activity if you have guests in town and need something to fill your time. It is a really fun way to spend the morning, and you walk away with gorgeous boutique-style jewelry that you made yourself. Definitely something to brag about!

Many expats do not realize that they may have benefits under their existing insurance companies from the United States that they can avail of overseas. European and Canadian insurance do not cover overseas procedures but Amexcare accepts health insurance from any country. Amexcare assists expats to determine if their health insurance from their home country can benefit them here in Mexico. Amexcare works with providers and hospitals in seven Mexican states to assist clients in verifying their foreign insurance benefits, travel insurance for all countries and health insurance from the U.S.
Amexcare is a U.S. based company that can help you with the details of determining if you are eligible, and if so will guide you through the process of getting attended to using your own medical coverage . Once you are eligible, Amexcare takes care of all of the paperwork, billing, and works with the hospitals to both file your claims and manages billing between providers and insurance companies. We help with cashless claims for the patient by direct billing from the hospital to the insurance companies.
This is a very quick process for Amexcare to determine your eligibility and this service is free. This is really wonderful for expats who may be able to access insurance coverage from their existing provider. For more information and a quick assessment of your eligibility, please contact me. I can work with you in getting started with Amexcare. As a healthcare freelancer I can also assist you in getting credits for your plastic surgery procedures. I am a resident and a Mexican citizen who has had a wealth of experience aiding expats in a variety of needs.

Art & Judy moved to México in 2014 and sell beautiful artisanal pieces. During their visits to various Pueblos Mágicos throughout the country, they seek out artists producing beautiful pieces that offer a blend of great design and deep tradition. Art & Judy choose to partner with skilled artisans across México to showcase their beautiful work and help their clients find unique, high quality pieces for their homes. The pieces they carry are not found in the souvenir markets around Mexico City. They pay their regular partners fair prices and when scouting the annual markets for new partners, Art & Judy pass by hundreds of pieces for every piece they take home. Once they have found a partner who is clearly talented and has a style their clients appreciate, they often talk with them about creating new styles. Art & Judy feel their home is richer for having these pieces in it and hope you will cherish your items, too.
