Walking Tour San Juan Market and Neighborhood
IWC partners with Understand Mexico to bring you a fun walking tour.
Details: Are you new to Mexico City or would like to know more about the vast assortment of the fruits, vegetables, chiles, and spices in the market? Well if so, join us for a fun and informative visit to this gourmet market, tucked away on the edge of downtown. It is full of all sorts of culinary surprises including great coffee, incredible tapas, the best fruits and vegetables to be had in the city, amazingly fresh fish (purveyors of Mexico's Japanese sushi restaurants) edible flowers and insects, fresh turkeys year round, hundreds of cheeses from around the world and hard to find ingredients (including fresh Asian vegetables).
If you've never been - you need to come. If you have been, we will also be walking around the outlying streets, stopping at a pulqueria, pasta shop, a specialized spice store and bakery as well, so there will be something new even for the seasoned shopper! Don't forget your pesos and shopping bags as the vendors do not accept credit cards.
