NEW Kids Playgroup sponsored by the International Women's Club!
Calling all moms with young kids! Join us for our NEW playgroup sponsored by the IWC. This playgroup is for kids aged 3 and under and our first meeting will be Thursday, July 6 from 12-2 PM. This event is FREE and open to both IWC members and non-members. We hope you can join in on the fun! Details below.
Who: For moms and their kids aged 3 and under.
Dates: We will meet twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month. Our first meeting date is Thursday, July 6. Subsequent dates are July 20, August 3, August 17, etc.
Time: Between 12-2 PM. Show up late or leave early if you have to! We realize every kid's schedule and needs are different. We want you to come for the amount of time you can.
Where: Union Evangelical Church, Parque Vía Reforma 1870, Lomas de Chapultepec V Secc, 11000 Ciudad de México, CDMX. There is plenty of street parking in front of the church. We will meet in the Sala, Nursery and Toddler rooms. These are to left when you walk into the church.
Structure: Between 12:30 - 1:30 there will be some sort of activity time: songs, dance, craft, activity, etc. Before and after will be casual play and mingling time!
We're excited to provide a safe, welcoming space for moms of young kids to get together to provide play and stimulation for their kids and friendship for moms. Hasta pronto!
Stitching, Quilting & Coffee
Join us in Polanco every Thursday for coffee, quilting and general sewing or needlework. All levels of quilters and stitchers are welcome.
Details: Get together with other quilters/stitchers/knitters etc. to be inspired, learn or work on your current project. In the future, look for events related to specific projects. Bring your own supplies.

Flower Arrangement Class
Whether you want to arrange flowers at home or are interested in more floral knowledge , this class will give you a great foundation on the technical tricks of flower arranging as well as composition, color, and design.
Details: The instructor will show you how to achieve effortless looking arrangements that have that just-picked-from-the-garden look. They will share her tricks of the trade along with basics like the best time to pick flowers for cutting and tricks for helping them last longer. This class will help give you the confidence to create your own flower arrangements for home or gifts! This will be a great item to have to get ready for the holidays!
The class is 3 hours in length and the cost is $500 pesos per person. The cost includes a vase and flowers. After class feel free to shop around the cute shops of Fusion Casa!

World Wine Tour - Mexican Wines
Wine Seminar with tastings and Croquetas de jamon Serrano and Queretaro’s cheeses.
First seminar is Wines of Mexico. Mexico’s wine industry is evolving into world class wines, some of which won gold medals in the Brussels wine competition in 2017. Marco Rava, of Wine and Roses will give us a description of the seven Mexican wine regions and we will taste and discuss the strengths of each region. A general overview of Mexican wines and information on what wines to drink and buy while you are here. The tastings include:

World Cooking Tour - Ukrain
There’s nothing quite like sitting around with friends having great conversations over a delicious meal! So this year the IWC is bringing you the "World Cooking Tour" series of social events.
Join master Pierogi maker, Chris Billinton, and her sous chef, Lynda Opocensky, for a hands-on class of perogie making.
Pierogies are a dumpling filled with potato, cheese and onion, served with sour cream and bacon…not low calorie, but so delicious.
We will make the Pierogies from start to finish and you will get lots of practice perfecting the dough and the optimal Pierogi shape. We will have Pierogies for lunch and you will have some to take home for your family. Please bring an apron and a rolling pin if you have one.

Volunteers are needed to sort donations and set up for the charity garage sale and to work the day of the sale.
Details: This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and it requires a lot of helping hands to pull it off. Please consider donating a few hours or more to help make it a successful event!

Proceeds: All proceeds go to the charities IWC supports. All unsold items will be donated to the Salvation Army so you know your donation will go far to support great causes!
